Search calculators and guides

Search only this site. Type a product name such as CD, mortgage, 401(k), or auto lease. Results list matching calculators and blog guides. Query URLs are not indexed; this page is the canonical search URL.

How on-site search works

The search box filters calculator names, keywords, and blog titles in your browser. It does not send your query to an advertising network. If nothing matches, browse by category instead of repeating slightly different keywords.

Useful starting points: CD Calculator, Mortgage Calculator, Retirement Calculator, Auto Loan Calculator, Income Tax Calculator, and the blog index.

Choosing a calculator without guessing keywords

If you have a bank CD quote, open the CD Calculator and type the APY and term from the disclosure. If you have a Loan Estimate for a house, start with the Mortgage Calculator for PITI, then the House Affordability Calculator if you do not yet know the price. A dealer worksheet belongs in the Auto Loan Calculator or Auto Lease Calculator, not in a generic loan tool that omits tax and trade-in.

Pay stubs map to the Take-Home-Paycheck Calculator. Credit card statements map to the Credit Card Calculator or Debt Payoff Calculator when several balances compete. Retirement plan statements map to the 401(k) Calculator or IRA Calculator. Search is a filter; the directory is the map.

Blog titles are included in search so a query like "ladder" can surface How to Build a CD Ladder as well as calculators. Query-string URLs such as /search/?q=cd are blocked from indexing in robots.txt so Google keeps this clean /search/ URL.

Blog guides included in search

Articles are first-class results. A search for penalty should find CD early withdrawal penalties. A search for match should find 401(k) employer match. A search for snowball should find snowball vs avalanche. If a guide and a calculator both match, open the calculator for the number and the guide for the decision.

The full article list lives on the blog index. Category hubs: investment, mortgage, retirement, auto, tax and salary, other financial.

Search does not rank paid results. There is no sponsored calculator slot. If an advertisement appears below this article after AdSense is connected, it is labeled Advertisement and is not a search result. Use the lists on this page when you already know the product name; use the box when you only remember a word such as HELOC, RMD, or APY.

Keyboard users can tab to the search field and press Enter. The header search button opens a dialog that runs the same filter; it does not appear by itself and is not a popup ad. Closing it returns you to the page you were reading. For a full-page view, stay on /search/.

If search returns nothing, check spelling of HELOC, 401(k), and RMD. Hyphens are optional in the filter. You can also open a category page and scan the directory sentences, which describe the planning job rather than repeating the tool name.

Search tips that save time

Type the product, not the brand. "CD" finds the certificate-of-deposit tool and related guides. "HELOC" finds the home-equity line calculator. "RMD" finds required minimum distributions. "PITI" is not a page title; search "mortgage" and open the Mortgage Calculator, then add taxes and insurance in the form. Do not search your bank name; we do not index issuer rate sheets.

If you already know the URL pattern, skip search. Calculators live at /tool-name/ with a trailing slash, for example /cd-calculator/ and /mortgage-calculator/. Blog guides live under /blog/. Category hubs live under /categories/. The header search button opens the same filter in a dialog you requested; it is not an automatic popup and it is not an advertisement.

Empty results usually mean a typo or a product we do not model (crypto, options Greeks, or live FX trading). Use the directory on this page to see the 71 tools that exist. If a tool should exist and does not, send the formula via contact rather than repeating the same query.
