We Respond Quickly
Send a message about calculator accuracy, feature requests, or editorial corrections. We typically reply within two business days.
Email: hello@cdcalculator.io
What we can help with
Use this form for calculator bugs, unclear copy, broken links, and feature requests. Include the page URL, the inputs you typed, and the result you saw. That is enough for us to reproduce a math error. We typically reply within two business days to hello@cdcalculator.io.
We cannot give personalized investment, tax, or lending advice, quote a live CD rate, or underwrite a loan. For those questions, talk to your bank, a CPA, or a licensed advisor. If you need the legal terms of using the site, read the disclaimer, terms, and privacy policy.
Before you write
- Confirm you clicked Calculate. Empty required fields show an error rather than a result.
- Compare compounding frequency and whether the quote is APY or APR.
- Search existing tools on the search page if you are looking for a calculator by name.
Common messages we receive
The CD ending balance does not match my bank. Check APY versus nominal rate, compounding, and whether the bank uses a 365-day year. The CD Calculator page explains those gaps. Include both numbers in your email.
Mortgage PITI is higher than the lender quote. Quotes sometimes omit insurance, HOA, or monthly tax escrow. Enter those fields on the Mortgage Calculator or compare principal-and-interest only with the Amortization Calculator.
Take-home pay differs from my stub. State tax, city tax, benefits, and extra withholding are easy to miss. The Take-Home-Paycheck Calculator is a federal-oriented estimate. We cannot reconstruct a specific employer's payroll file.
Please tell me which CD to buy. We will not. We can point you to how to compare quotes and the calculator. Product choice is yours and your bank's.
What not to send
Do not email Social Security numbers, full account numbers, photos of driver licenses, or tax PDFs with your SSN visible. We do not need them to debug a formula. If a screenshot of the calculator helps, crop personal data first.
The Send Message button opens your email client with the text you entered. It does not pretend a ticket was filed on a server we do not operate. If your mail app does not open, write directly to hello@cdcalculator.io with the same details.
Feature requests are welcome when they name a formula we can implement in the browser, such as a missing compounding option or a schedule column. Requests to add live bank rate feeds, login wallets, or lead-gen forms will be declined; those would change the privacy model described in the privacy policy.
Editorial corrections on blogs should cite the paragraph and the source you believe we missed (for example an IRS publication year). We update the article date when the substance changes. Typo-only notes are still useful.
Response standards
We reply to formula bugs first, then broken links, then copy edits, then feature ideas. Two business days is typical; a math error that fails the $10,000-at-5% CD check or the $200,000-at-5%-30-year mortgage check is treated as urgent. If you do not hear back, send one follow-up. Do not paste the same message to multiple aliases.
We will not call you. We will not ask you to install software. We will not send a file that must be opened to "verify your calculator." Those are scams. Our only public email for this site is hello@cdcalculator.io, listed on About and this page.
If your question is "should I refinance," use the Refinance Calculator and a lender quote. If it is "how much house," use House Affordability and your actual debts. Email cannot replace those inputs because we do not have your credit file.
Hours: we read mail on weekdays. We do not offer phone support, chat widgets, or after-hours trading desks. If you write on Friday evening, expect a reply the following business week. Include a subject line with the calculator slug, for example "cd-calculator compounding," so the message is not mistaken for general marketing mail.
Accessibility: if a form field is missing a label or a result is unreadable with a screen reader, say which browser and which URL. That is a real bug. We will not ask you to disable your ad blocker to receive a reply.
How to report a formula error
Open the calculator, enter a simple case you can check in a spreadsheet, click Calculate, and write down every input plus the output you saw. For CDs, $10,000 at 5% APY for one year with annual compounding should be near $10,500 before tax. For a $200,000 30-year mortgage at 5%, principal and interest is about $1,073.64 per month. If our page disagrees, include both numbers. That is enough; we do not need your bank login.
If the live tool matches the spreadsheet but your bank does not, the gap is usually compounding convention, a 360-day year, or a fee the form does not model. Say so in the email. We can then decide whether the page needs a clearer note, not a formula change.
Classroom and citation: you may project a page and quote a short excerpt with a link to the canonical URL. We do not issue ISBN-style citations or signed letters confirming a student's homework. Point the assignment at the URL and the worked example on that page.
Press inquiries and partnership pitches that ask us to rank a bank or embed an affiliate table will be declined. Independent calculators stay independent. Thank you for reading this page before writing.
